Tamara Feldman becomes part of the "Gossip"

Tamara Feldman, the actress behind the bang-stealing, drama-causing rich girl on Dirty Sexy Money, will be rubbing elbows with Manhattan’s elite during the upcoming season of Gossip Girl. Sources indicate that our favorite van der Woodsen is getting a new pal.

"She's a friend," Feldman told OKof her new character. "They start hanging out together."

Thankfully for Serena, Feldman’s character Poppy (not to be confused with Papi) is meant to be a positive influence, unlike some ex-Buffy stars we know.

Kristin Chenoweth speaks to the theater geeks

It’s true that the second season of Pushing Daisies won’t be hitting our screens until the terribly far date of Oct. 1, but don’t despair, my dear Kristin Chenoweth-addicted friends; there’s good news on the horizon. The Tony Award winning actress will be hosting her very own documentary on PBS, Shakespeare on the Hudson, a behind-the-scenes look at The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival’s production of Twelfth Night.

Indeed, it’s time for us theater lovers to geek-out full force as Chenoweth takes us through the troupe’s process of preparing and performing the infamous Shakespeare comedy. The documentary will follow the actors from auditions to call backs to opening night, as well as highlight all of the off-stage drama that accompanies any successful production.

TV Alert: "Damages" marathon will air this weekend

I wholeheartedly admit that I’m a TV addict. I’ll happily watch (and usually enjoy) pretty much anything that floats across my TV screen, no matter how inane or seemingly idiotic. Indeed, when it comes to television, I’m easy. It is for that reason that I can’t quite explain why it took me so long to get around to watching Damages. I had heard how good it was from various sources. I knew it starred the goddess-like Glenn Close and the sexy Rose Byrne. I knew it involved an intricate plot of murder and mystery. So why, then, did I wait until the season had ended to backtrack and watch it?

It took a long time of self-reflection, yoga, and a little therapy to figure out the answer. But I will tell you. It’s because I knew, knew that once I started one episode I wouldn’t be able to wait for the next. I’m rather pleased with my self-awareness, because in fact, Damages is ridiculously addictive. Not only does the plot revolve around two brilliant, successful, attractive women, but it’s also well-written, well-acted, and filled with more twists and turns than the latest thrill ride at Six Flags.

The real Allison DuBois gets a show on Sci Fi

I’ve been a huge fan of Medium since it premiered in 2005. I’m a sucker for all things paranormal and so this show was right up my alley. Plus, it stars the lovely Patricia Arquette in the role of world-renowned medium Allison DuBois, and what could be better? OK, a few things spring to mind, but regardless, I was happy to learn that the real Allison DuBois is getting her own TV series on Sci Fi.

The show (with the working title Soul Evidence) will follow DuBois and a team of psychics as they work together to solve real-life crimes. Specific details about the series are slim-to-none at the moment, though I’ll be interested to see how they work to make the show different from the slew of other psychic crime solving reality shows out there. We already have Psychic Detectives, Psychic Witness and Psychic Investigators (just to name a few), so it remains unclear what Soul Evidence will bring to the genre. (I suppose casting a well-known medium is always a good start, as well as veering away from the use of psychic in the title.)

A film version of "Wicked" is in the works

I’m fairly certain that my neighbors reached for the phone to call the emergency equivalent of 911 over here in France when they heard my joyful shrieking (which to them may have sounded more like a mutated cat giving birth to elephants). I couldn't help it when I received the news that a film version of the Wicked musical was in the works. Just the other day I was telling my girlfriend that the Wicked movie was long overdue, and now it turns out that my prayers have been answered. (That, or Hollywood has bugged my apartment.)

Universal Studios has teamed up with producers Marc Platt (Silence of the Lambs) and Stephen Schwartz to bring the Broadway hit to the silver screen (though it sounds like production is still in the very early stages). Universal’s Donna Langley implied that the film is mainly in talks at the moment, and being that Platt is currently busy with the film Nine, it sounds like it will be some time before we get any concrete details about the Wicked movie.
