Let's all do the Cannes-Cannes

The Cannes Film Festival always has that special je ne sais quoi mix of glamorous and loopy that makes it a perfect spot for red carpet watching. You never know if you’ll get Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie dressed like old-school movie stars or Bai Ling dressed like an extra from Spring Break Shark Attack.

And, really, that delicious dichotomy is a big part of its appeal. Here are some other fun lessons I’ve learned from the past week’s snapshots from the south of France:

Two great reasons to brush up on my French.

Good things really do come in threes.

Not sure what to wear on the red carpet? Just grab a suit jacket,
preferably white, and — voilà! — instant hotness.

Listen, I understand that you don’t want your seatmates stealing your armrest, but there are more subtle ways of making that point. They get it, they’ll control their arms. Sheesh.

When exactly did Daryl Hannah become Jennifer Coolidge?
And does anyone else feel the sudden urge to train her dog, so to speak?

What happened to Daryl Hannah?? Its like half of her mouth wants to say 'Help me' while the other half can't move. That makes me sad...ps. I *love* Jennifer Coolidge, funny ladies are always sexy in my book.

YIKES.... what in the world happened to her!! WOW - hard to believe!!!

Now as for Michelle Yeow - all I can say is.... YOWZA!!!! That woman be HOTTTTT!!!!! and Andie is still rocking as well. Don't know who that other lady is with them though.

And Brad Pitt - I've been reading about how old he looked and now I've seen it for myself and like I've been saying since reading about how old he looks.... "That's what you get for cheating on your wife!"

Dary Hannah looks like she had some kind of stroke... of years coming INTO her! What happened? Maybe she was not really posing? Or the person that took the picture hates her??
Those are the mysteries that I'll probably never know!

Brad Pitt + Angelina Jolie = Hotness. Also, it seems that Mr. Pitt has softened Angelina a bit. I read somewhere she HATES hugging and holding hands and yet all the pictures I've seen of these two at Cannes, they're all over each other. Cuteness.

And Faye Dunaway's suit, HAWT! And Helen Mirren... *swoon*

I still don't see Brad Pitt 'looking old'. I think as he gets older he looks more and more like Robert Redford. If that's what 'looking old' means, then I'm all for it. Robert Redford is this lesbian's straight crush.

Doesn't Brad Pitt looks like a younger Robert Redford in this picture? I kinda thought of "The Way we were" but with red hair and no white uniform... am I alone on this one?

I don't know about Brad (he's never 'done it' for me) but Angie is quite thin and she looks exhausted too...maybe the kids are keeping her up at night.

So sad, Angie seems to have gone conventional and even boring in her style. And Brad being a Robert Redford wannabee...tacky!

Teaming up with whitebread Brad seems to have sucked all the edge from Angie. YAWN...

You're so right on the Angie thing, I'm not fan of theirs and I certainly don't find her hot but she looks all dragged down. As for Bitt looking like Redford, i'll give him that much but he's got bags under his eyes and Redford looks way younger and better than him at his (Redford's) current age.

It would seem that they've both taken on more than they can handle. Angie was more vibrant with 2 kids on her own than with 3 with Brad!
