Save "Chuck" tonight by sharing a hottie and a hoagie

If you do only two things tonight, please let them involve Agent Sarah Walker and a footlong sandwich from Subway. Wait, stay with me. I know that sounds strange and/or possibly illegal in 23 of the contiguous United States. But it is guaranteed to a) be enjoyable and b) possibly make a difference.

You see, the critically adored, ratings challenged NBC spy-comedy-drama-romance-geekopolooza Chuck airs its season finale tonight. So as part of a grassroots Save Chuck campaign, its loyal viewers are all encouraged to buy a Subway footlong sandwich today to enjoy while watching the show. It all makes sense and/or sounds considerably less kinky now, right?

Subway has been prominently featured in product placement on the show, so the campaign seeks to both reward the franchise and show solidarity to the network. Admittedly, I came almost tragically late to this series. For far too long I resisted the obvious allure of its kickass star Yvonne Strahovski despite the incessant screaming of “Watch! Watch! Watch!” from the likes of StuntDouble and The Linster.

And then, I saw the light. Actually it was Tricia Helfer wearing an itty-bitty cop costume. But, you know, same diff.

Also, I’m not sure if I mentioned this, but Yvonne (a.k.a. Agent Sarah Walker) is kind of attractive. And has an Australian accent. And is not adverse to sword fighting in hotpants and a bikini. Good God, click play! [Hat tip, Ingrid!]

The show — about the adventures of an unsuspecting geek turned secret CIA operative and his handlers — has a fabulous balance of funny, fierce and fantastical. And now that Chuck and Sarah have kissed and then some, I’m dying to see what happens next.

So you’d better believe I’ll be spending tonight on the couch with the hottie and a hoagie. How about you? Oh, and seriously television gods, Save Chuck!

Yvonne has an Australian accent

Agent Sarah Walker has an American accent.  a pretty flawless one at that because Yvonne is not only easy peasy on the eyes but is tragically underrated as an actress in this role.  yes, tragically underrated (hint -- watch her convay subtle emotions using her eyes.  sometimes it'll break your heart).  i've been an unabashed fangirl since the first eipsode and will restate for the record i think this show has the best dialogue since Buffy.  i loves me some Chuck -- fiercely.  it and Dollhouse are the only network shows i watch since Pushing Daisies . . .  i will not speak of it.

and if i have to buy a Subway to prove my love then five, five dollah, five dollah foot looong is on the menu for dinner tonight.

Five dollar footlong

That first picture is the most amazing Photoshopping I have ever seen in my entire life. I bow down to you. (Now, step away from my girlfriend.)

I'll for sure be spending my

I'll for sure be spending my night eating a hoagie and watching Sarah Walker kick ass.

If the show is cancelled I'll be completely devastated. I think it's pure genius. Besides the fact that Yvonne is one of the stars, it's hilarious, quirky, cute and has amazing music.

Save Chuck!

Sigh

I will dream of Sarah serving me a sandwich tonight. Sorry, Stunt; if she shows up, what can I do?

Ditto on the Photoshopping skills worship.

Watch the show tonight, people. Please. Sarah needs you.

Anything for Agent Walker.

Seriously.  I am in a show-saving mood lately so I am down with a Subway $5 foot long.

Does Sarah deliver?

Jordana Brewster

How about another reason? Jordana has appeared a few times on the series as Chuck's former college girlfriend, who's been working for the bad guys of Fulcrum.

And Melinda Clarke appeared earlier this season in an episode.

Yes and uh...no

Yes to the hottie...every week...since the beginning I might add.  No to the sub, not that I'm opposed, but I just had dinner...heh.  I totally relate to Chuck...smart and yet a doofus.  I can only hope to get the hottie!

Save Chuck!!

If they cancel the series after tonight's episode, I am going to have to pull out kung fu moves on someone!

Sarah!

Got my hoagie on the way home from work (though I hate Subway now - they changed the $5 footlong deal and I had to pay $6.25 for my turkey sub - WTF?!) and will have my hottie in 45 minutes :)

SAVE CHUCK!!

PS. No more subway for me. I'm going to Quizno's from now on.

Weird coincidence

I hadn't heard anything about the buysubwaytosavechuck plan, but somehow i bought subway for lunch and happened to watch chuck (online) while having my sandwich. And then i came on AE and i read this article. Freaky :$

Putting that aside, I really hope Chuck gets picked up for a new season!! The finale was awesome!
I'll be devastated if that finale episode was the last(time i get to see Yvonne Strahovski)!!!

What the Chuck?!?

I've only seen the last 3 episodes and I already love this show...perhaps I should go back and watch from the beginning.  Some networks (FOX in particular) have lately been paying more attention to internet views of their shows than the Nielson ratings.  Sooooo maybe if we really want to save Chuck everyone should rewatch all the episodes online.  Every little thing helps right?

PS I know kung fu!

Hope the show returns...

I really hope you Americans can help save Chuck. Subway doesn't exist in Portugal anymore (it's really mind-boggling how the best sandwiches in the world didn't make it in a country where everybody eats too f***ing much), so I can't even buy a sandwich to help the show! And I'm guessing a letter from a Portuguese girl who downloads the show not very legally won't help much. =P
