Tina Fey gets some action in "Date Night"

So Tina Fey and Steve Carell did a nice little romantic comedy — or so we thought. Just your average couple goes out for a night on the town then hilarity ensues story — or so we though. And in the end love wins out because that’s how these movies always end — or so we thought.

But instead, the trailer for the duo’s new movie Date Night is less When Harry Met Sally and more When Harry Met Sally and Accidentally Landed in a Jackie Chan/Chris Tucker Movie. But don’t take my word for it. Press play and tell me I’m lying.

So, yeah, there’s a lot happening there I didn’t expect. Let’s break them down one by one.

1. Guns.

I’m really, really trying to remember the last rom-com I saw with the phrase “kill shot.” I am failing.

2. Car Chases.

Because when I think Tina Fey and Steve Carrell, I think really fast cars.

3. Blows to the head.

By my count there are at least three.

4. Shirtless Mark Wahlberg.

Is this Date Night or Boogie Nights?

5. Spit.

Though, oddly enough, it only makes me love Tina more.

Right, so that was unexpected. I’m not saying it’s necessarily bad; I’m just saying I never thought “action-packed” would be the way I would describe anything featuring the stars of 30 Rock and The Office, respectively. Let’s just hope it’s laugh-packed as well.

It’s nice to see Mila Kunis and James Franco show up (as does Olivia Munn as the hostess), and if IMDB.com is to be trusted, we can also expect appearances by Kristen Wiig, Leighton Meester, Taraji P. Henson, Mark Ruffalo and Ray Liotta. Um, that’s a lot of folks.
