Passing for black does sounds cool, but im too embaressed to go buy a 'lesbian' book, my friends would never let me live it down, this is the problem with being in a group of straight guy friends, everytime i do something remotely lesbian they go off on one screamy girly..., oo its lesbian fit. of my Sunday. I've been reading Linda's articles for a while now even read her coming out story in Essence. I'm so glad you had her on your show. Athough Linda sometimes  do freelance writing for Afterellen, I still felt like I wanted to get to know her more. I did today. Linda is wonderful, smart and great. She's defintely and all around womyn with a "dirty" side. There's nothing wrong with that. Linda, you're right they're still aren't a lot of books for Lesbians/Bi womyn to read. Thanks for giving us another one to add to the list. Passing For Black has now been added to my Summer Reading List.

I agree with you Bridget about, " Finally, a decent pillow fight!"...thought i had prepared well with my own pillow for padding to help with my broken ribs when I laughed, but then I'd laughed so hard I'd start to cough which was worse...but it was worth it!

My Dad & I used to go fishing ALL THE TIME, when I was a kid...thanks for the wonderful way to remember my Dad on Father's Day....Ask Linda if she ever fished for flounders using sandworms??? Those suckers BITE!!!! I found out the hard way...you can fish for bluefish using sandworms too...my Dad as a joke didn't 'warn' me about how sandworms can and will bite...When I yelled at him accusingly about the dirty trick he pulled, he laughed so hard that he fell off the chair. I will definately buy the book. I am a huge book fiend! Curious Wine was one of the very first lesbian books I'd ever read, and I had read it when it first came out.! Next time you're in CT Bridget, you gotta stop at this vegatarian restaurant/bookstore here in Bridgeport, CT by Captain's Cove. They've been there since 1973! Maybe you've already heard ot it? BloodRoot?! That's where i bought my first copy of Curious Wine, and a host of other lesbian books, first published by Naiad Press(which is now Bella Books). Katherine Forrest just had Curious Wine reprinted by a different publisher, and I had bought that copy.

Great,great vlog. Thanks for introducing another author that writes Lesbian Fiction. Linda is right, there are so few lesbian authors, and if you'd go to Barnes & Nobles or Borders and look in the Gay & Lesbian section of fiction books, and the gay books out number the lesbian books, in my opinion 3-1!

I am currently reading ALL of Ellen Hart's books, and she's published by a mainstream publisher, and I have found all of her books in the library. St Martin's Minotaur is the publisher...JD Glass is a great up & coming out lesbian author under the Bold Strokes book publishing company that really writes kick-a$$ books! Both JD Glass and Bold Strokes Publishing have Myspace profiles....and they're in my friends network....

before the advent of the internet and the proliferation of cable and satilite TV, I used to be well read. Yeah, and I used to play guitar and write songs. Boy has my life deteriorated. I digress. Anyway, being an slightly older gal here in the AE world, I really appreciated the fun but more mature tone of today's episode. And THAT made the pillow fight at the end all that much more entertaining! Okay well, that and it really was a good pillow fight...for once!

I was surprised to see that Bridget had landed the beautiful and talented Linda Villarosa as a guest on BWB. I was impressed, but not surprised, that Bridget once again rose to meet the occasion. One of the best BWBs ever in my opinion.

I heard Linda talk at Ohio State University when I was a student there several years ago. She is an excellent speaker. I loved her coming out at work story. It cracked me up. Excellent Vlog Bridget! I'm definitely going to check out Linda's new book.
