Got baby? Angelina Jolie's maternal greed parodied on "SNL"

This week, Saturday Night Live toyed with blasphemy when they included a bit about Angelina Jolie's hunger for babies on "Weekend Update."

In the sketch, anchor Seth Meyers is reporting on the birth of octuplets to a woman in California when Angelina Jolie (played by SNL newcomer Abby Elliott) slinks onto the set and seductively asks about procuring said newborns.

When that doesn't work, she asks about former "Update" anchor Amy Poehler's new spawn. You can watch the sketch below:

With her uncanny ability to impersonate Jolie, maybe Elliott would be the perfect choice to play Lara Croft in the resurrection of the Tomb Raider franchise.

In the absence of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Elliott could take the mantle as every lesbian's favorite woman on SNL. After all, she did a respectable Rachel Maddow impression a few weeks back.

What lesbian icon do you think Elliott should take on next?

I don't really care what she does next,

as long as she sing while doing it!

That sketch was hilarious, I could'nt stop laughing for a long time after watching it!

Abby is a funky junky joker monkey.

Chris Elliot Spawn

That Angelina impression was pretty good. I thought the Maddow one sucked though. All she did was talk out of the side of her mouth. Maddow's energetic eyebrows and vocal inflections were nowhere to be found.

I'll bet Abby could pull off Drew Barrymore - although Kate Hudson's impersonation of her is pretty hard to beat.

I've always thought her dad was pretty funny especially in There's Something About Mary.

Maddow impression

I thought that her impression of Maddow was absolutely horrid.  When I first read the article, I thought that Karman must have been talking about a different skit.

Really? I liked her Rachel Maddow...

I thought her Rachel Maddow was funny. (It's not like she would be an easy person to imitate, since she's calm, cool and sane.) I did LOVE Ben Affleck's Keith Olbermann bit though. He was amazing. Maybe the next time they need to do a Rachel Maddow or Angelina Jolie sketch, they should give him a call...

Agree on the Olbermann

impression. That sort of hyper real version of Keith was spot on. I wish Daryll Hammond still did his  Chris Matthews impression.  HAH!

Maddow impression

I thought her Maddow impression was pretty good too. And the Kieth Olbermann sketch was hilarious. This Angelina was so funny. I was cracking up.

Damn geo discrimination

Yet again we outside the US can't see the clip, which isn't afterellen's fault of course. We can't even watch it on Youtube, stupid NBC :'(

Great Impression!

While I never saw the Maddow impression, I thought her Angelina Jolie impression was spot on. She was so good my friend and I looked at each other wondering if she was the real thing.

Kristen Wiig!

Although Elliot's Jolie impersonation was pretty spot on, Kristen Wiig already has my heart as the "new" Fey or Poehler.

That woman is so effing hilarious, I lose my sh*t when I see her just in anticipation.  Between the "crazy McCain lady," her recurring role as one-half of the "A-hole Couple" with Jason Sudeikis and her bit-part in Knocked Up, she is by far the best reason to still watch SNL.

I second that...

I, personally, don't really care for Abby Elliott or the other new female cast member on the show. Kristen Wiig, however, is a comedy goddess!

It seems obvious that since Tina and Amy have left SNL it has gotten significantly lamer and Kristen Wiig is usually the lone bright spot in what's becoming a bleak hour and a half of late night TV watching.

Wiig rocks my face off!

Kristen Wiig

No one could take the place of my favorite SNL leading lady Kristen Wiig!

Omg

That was actually pretty funny- something that SNL never is for me!
