Alicia Keys pens a song for the new "James Bond" filmConsidering the James Bond films have a habit of including hot women in every installment, and considering Alicia Keys has a habit of being a hot woman, it makes perfect sense that Keys is joining the Bond universe for their next chapter, Quantum of Solace. (The title of the film makes me scratch my head, but I find it’s best to not think too long and hard about these things.)
No, the lovely and talented Keys won’t be the newest Bond Babe. Thankfully, she’s sticking to what she does best: making music. She’ll join Jack White for a duet on the film’s theme song — the first duet in Bond theme song history, in case you’re keeping track. Considering Keys’ and White’s musical styles are pretty much exactly opposite, it should be an interesting collaboration. But, I’m betting it’ll be a little moment of brilliance ala Alison Krauss/Robert Plant. While Alicia won’t be making an appearance in the film, we will be treated to yet another femme fatale, Olga Kurylenko, whose character Camille has one of the more benign names in Bond history.
It all started 40 years ago with “Honey Ryder,” the suggestively named seductress from 1962’s Dr. No. Since then, let’s face it, the draw to James Bond movies has been more based on their stunning parade of femme fatales, than whatever happens in those movies. Are there even storylines in James Bond films? They always seem to me like a strung-out din of explosions, car chases and blatant displays of sexual innuendo. Even the famed roles of Bond Babes have their share of unapologetically named characters that point them out as the sex objects they are. I mean, really: Pussy Galore and Holly Goodhead? My personal favorite: Peaceful Fountains of Desire (played by Rachel Grant).
Still, I have to admit I loved Grace Jones in A View to a Kill, Madonna and Halle Berry in Die Another Day, and Eva Green in Casino Royale. And, I’m fairly certain I’ll love Alicia Keys’ duet with Jack White in Quantum of Solace, if nothing else. Who’s your favorite Bond Babe? Submitted by on July 31, 2008 - 9:00am. |

So I'm not the only one who
Bond's search for closure on
Completely and utterly...
Eva Green hands down.
I mean come on, have you seen her!?
:D
'Life is full of disappointments, and I'm full of life!'
Pussy Galore
hello..this is an easy one! She has a troop of female pilots at her beck and call! HELLO..Lesbians...are you watching?
But we can't leave out Honey Ryder(Ursula also played Vesper in the first Casino Royal)
But I have always had a soft spot for Melina Havlock(she uses a cross bow! HELLO!)
As for Casino Royal..I preferred Solange
And how can i forget Domino
As far as the song goes.. I can't wait..but i still think the Bond franchise dropped the ball and should have had Shirley Bassy on this one since they didn't go with her on CR.
not into bond much
i think i've seen quite a few bond movies; some when i was younger and i can't remember them, and some of the more recent ones, although i've not seen casino royale. not keen on daniel craig...
anyways, just gotta say, that while (mostly) everyone thinks that urusla andress is a goddess, etc, i have to say i think Halle Berry did it better!
that film is the only Bond film i own, i actually enjoyed it more than the few previous ones. i liked Pierce Brosnan as Bond. he had the same sort of look as the previous Bonds. daniel craig looks a bit blond to be Bond, lol!!
It is a shame that Brosnan
It is a shame that Brosnan was wasted. his films were all fluff and no content.
Craig looks more like the real Bond than any Bond on film. He looks like the book describes..oh and you HAVE to watch Casino Royal..I am a Bond fanatic to the core and Thunderball was always my favorite until Casino Royal. I also developed a man crush on Craig after watching it. But i think it is more of a I want to BE Bond and kiss all the pretty ladies.
NAMES
Yup the females names are off the chain, gotta love Pussy Galore.
Halle Berry brings joyful tears to my eyes in that bathing suit.
C'mon guys, no mention of
C'mon guys, no mention of Famke Janssen? I watched GoldenEye like five times because of her.
Casino Royale is the only other Bondfilm I've ever seen, but I gotta say that Eva Green was smoking in it. But Xenia Onatopp was a bad guy, and that's even hotter.
Mmmmmm, Vesper
My favorite Bond babe has to be Eva Green. She's yummiest (is that even a word?) when she was putting on her makeup at the hotel and explaining about "sizing up" Bond.
I first saw her in The Dreamers and then Kingdom Of Heaven, and I've been hooked ever since.

"It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities"
My faves are pretty much
My faves are pretty much neck and neck.
Eva Green
and
Sophie Marceau
I also have a soft spot for
Jane Seymour..only because I heart Jane Seymour. Roger Moore = worst Bond ever.
Well...
Eva Green for sure. I have to keep myself from drooling whenever I watch Casino Royale.
But another that no one's mentioned, Michelle Yeoh in Tomorrow Never Dies. The fact that she's classy and gorgeous and kicks ass made the movie watchable. Can't stand Pierce Brosnan.
Can't wait
I have to agree with Sara Pierce Brosnan was the worst Bond ever. Just didn't have the sex appeal and was a little too Metro for a 00.
Dr. Christmas Jones
The World Is Not Enough...definitely one of the worst Bond movies made, and I agree that Pierce Brosnan is completely eclipsed by Daniel Craig. But I had to just throw out there the post Wild Things Denise Ricards as Christmas Jones...
And can't wait for the A. Keys song...obvs.
smithsayswhat.blogspot.comlove them
Almost all of them..some more than others...Grace Jones kicked @$$, Famke Janssen...oh Barbara Bach as Anya Amasova (The Spy who loves me)..I can keep going on and most of them already posted avobe.....but there is just one that I keep in a special place...here she is...Octopussy herself...Maud Adams..A Bond girl in her 38 years old...Yes..
