Even TMZ knows Diane Keaton is hot

TMZ.com isn't exactly known for appreciating older women (or women, period), but over the weekend its minions posted a gallery of stars who are "aged to perfection." It's pretty cool; in fact, it looks like the sort of thing we'd do here at AfterEllen.com. I can only assume there's some sort of weird astrological phenomenon at work. Rather than worry about that, I'll just gaze at the stunning photos — here's a sampling:

(The gallery also includes a couple of men, so if you go to the TMZ site to view it, don't be confused by the thumbnails. At first I thought the thumbnail of Sting was a weirdly squashed picture of Joan Jett.)

I've always been attracted to older women. Diane Keaton is definitely one of them! To see all these women is great! They are not only very talented, but even at their age, they are still hot! Yes, they are pure beauty, aged to perfection!

Don't know what we'd wo without you. You always find the good stuff to share. THOSE ARE MY GIRLS ALL LISTED THERE - Tina, Jane Fonad & SEYMOUR, Angela, Demi, Catherine Zeta (I HAVE THE HUGEST CRUSH ON THIS WOMAN!!! - BELIEVE ME IT DON'T GET NO WORSE!!), Oliviia is one of my fav singers of all time but I haven't seen nor heard anything about her in years (isn't her voice just overly sexy - at least when she sings) - This has definitely MADE MY DAY. (Hey scirbe what has become of Sheena Easton - do you know? She's one I liked as well but she's just seemed to drop off the planet or something)

I'm still baffled by the love for Diane Keaton. She was so terrible in the Godfather and I just don't like her period. I also think she's not very good looking. Why all the love? Can someone explain it? I agree with most of the rest on that list, though. Especially Tina Turner!

Including the "youngsters" in their 40s really defeats the whole purpose of the montage.

Not that TMZ ever really has a purpose or a point anyway, but if they did....I'm just saying.

What, like some fine wine? Please. What a bunch of complete wankers. Who gives a damn about a woman's age, her appearance, anything shallow like that. Isn't it about the person she is, not the pedestal she's been placed upon? And I don't give a damn that some people think it's about time the 'older generations' got acknowledged and how it's a long way from several years ago when once you hit forty you were forgotten. Please. Piss off.

Apparently AfterEllen readers do, as is evidenced by the "list your hotties" blog post, which has "Try to focus on beauty and "hotness" when you make your list" in the instructions and (as of this writing) almost 700 comments.

TMZ describing some of these "older" women as "well-preserved" cracks me up; what, does Catherine Zeta-Jones reek of formaldehyde?
