Jodie Foster gets behind the wheel of a fast car

Jodie Foster likes to keep her private life private, which I respect. But last week, she revealed something that I am very happy to share: Jodie is one fast woman.

Here’s the story: Foster’s Prius was pulled over by cops from Beverly Hills for going 54 in a 35 mph zone. That could happen to anybody, right? But of all the cop cars in all the towns in the world, this one had to have a film crew for the truTV show Speeders riding along. Oops.

The little lamb hardly kept silent, however, when she was accused of speeding. She insisted — quite adamantly, according to a witness — that she was going 30 and that the radar gun was wrong.

I realize that the smart thing to do when you get pulled over is to be polite, even if you don’t agree that you were breaking the law. But this wasn’t exactly a normal situation. I think that if I got pulled over and an entire film crew got out of the police car, I’d be testy, too. Especially if I had the slightest inkling that the crew was from the fabulous folks that brought us “Grandmamas in Pajamas.”

Needless to say, Jodie declined to sign a waiver for Speeders to use the video. I suspect she was overdressed for the part anyway.

What do you think? Was Foster justified in raising a stink about the ticket? Or should she have just accepted her citation calmly and stayed under the radar?

    She should have just taken

She should have just taken the ticket. That's what I do when I know I was breaking the law. How can I get mad for a cop ticketing me for speeding when I knew I shouldn't have been in the first place?

    Yeah....she should have just

Yeah....she should have just taken the ticket. Just b/c she's one of us doesn't mean she gets a free pass for being rude. That's what this post sounds like it's doing.

    As a future police officer

As a future police officer (fingers crossed!) I think she should have taken the ticket and swallowed her annoyance.  As a Jodie Foster fan, I love that this happened :-) Why can't we have something like this happen on Road Wars?

    HAR!

an imaptient lesbian on the road, thats no news.

and she always looked like a fast woman to me.

I'd like to say that I'd be all self-rightous and take the ticket, but knowing me I'd probably irk and argue the cop a little before I grudingly take it.

     its just who I am.

    So Jodie Foster's face in

So Jodie Foster's face in that candid photo--

--it looks like she's going to step out of the car and walk towards me in slow motion, pulling her hair out of her bun.  And when she reaches me, she's going to whip off her sunglasses and stab me, like in Godfather 3 or Lucky Number Slevin.

The article didn't say she did not take the ticket

It didn't say anywhere that she didn't take the ticket.  She argued that she was not speeding.

She wouldn't be the first, nor the last to do that.  And I would certainly raise some hell if a damn TV crew came up to my window to film me being ticketed.  Screw that.  Go Jodie.

    She did

    Jodie did sign the ticket.

    Heh

Yeah.  I'm pretty sure you'd be arrested if you refused to sign.  I certainly do not want to see a Jodie mug shot go up on that site for celebrity arrests.  :-/

    I'm so embarresed.....

for the two 36 year old Grandmothers who were videoed for bumping that car. Maybe they were not  drunk but c'mom....they had to be f***** on something! Probably prescription Xanax or something similar. And she admitted to causing her "cousins" kids/Grand kids(?)  heads to bop back and forth by...did she say " humping the clutch? OMG!!!

And I agree that Jodie did the right thing...she is soooo hot in these photos!
