Joss and Eliza give us a peek into the second season of "Dollhouse"As expected, one of the highlights of last weekend’s Comic-Con was the Dollhouse panel, starting with a showing of the “lost episode” of the show, “Epitaph One.”
Tempted as I have been to tap in to a torrent of the episode, I have resisted in favor of watching it the legal way — on the Dollhouse Season One DVD — which was released Tuesday. But reports are that it was the strongest show of the season — and a “game-changer.” Oh Joss, you are such a tease.
I do know this much: Amy Acker/Whiskey/Dr. Saunders is front and center — with no scars in sight.
And apparently, the Dollhouse cleaning crew hasn’t visited DeWitt’s office for a while.
EW’s Michael Ausiello sat down with Joss Whedon and Eliza Dushku to find out what Season Two has in store. Eliza’s main contribution was being adorable, but no complaints here. (Warning: Spoilers ahead.) I’m happy to hear that Amy Acker managed to juggle her Happytown schedule to come back for a few episodes and that we’ll see more of the lovely and very busy Felicia Day.

Yyyyeaahhhh!!!!! And HELLO, Elizabeth Mitchell! Dreamy as well. Even dreamier in person. But how many episodes will Tudyk be in? W/e. I am all hyped up because I just watched Epitaph One.

Holy HELL
I just got the season of Dollhouse, and I was SO confused the entire episode of Epitaph One!!!! Excited, but confused. Who was the little girl imprinted with? Where is everyone else? And, OMG! It's PAPI!! If I weren't watching the episode with other people, I would have been pausing it every so often so I could go, "EEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!" I really can't wait for the show to start up again!

Unfortunately I have to wait until the Dollhouse DVD comes out in Australia to see Epitaph One, but the show was awesome so I'm sure it'll be fantastic.
As to any Whedonverse person I'd love to see on Dollhouse?

I hope they shoot an epitaph "two" for the next season. I imagine it'll take long before Epitaph One happens on the regular series.

I hate to say it but when I was watching Epitaph One, all I was thinking was, "Man, I want to watch this show." It's such a cooler concept. If Dollhouse had been set in that world it would have been a hell of a lot more interesting from the start.

Han M, I totally agree with you. Although I think what also made Epitaph One so compelling was because we have some background on the established characters, you know? I mean the development of Adelle, Dr. Saunders/Whiskey, and Topher in this new context was stunning.
But yeah, I think Dollhouse would be a lot more interesting if somehow the show takes this direction. Or if Joss ran with the idea of having this Alternate Universe in a series of "lost episodes."
Man, I totally threw a Blade Runner and BSG geek-a-thon for myself this weekend. Epitaph One totally fit right in there.

Epitaph One was simly
Epitaph One was simly amazing! incredibly confusing but amazing. i never watched the show when it aired so i didn't realize that it was a "lost" episode and so i couldn't figure out what was going on for the first like 20 minutes.
i'm kind of heart broken that amy acker is only returning for three episodes as she was amazing as doctor saunders and really added something to the show. still three episodes is better then none i suppose.
also it doesn't mention in the video that felicia is returning but if she is that's awesome. i don't really see how she could but i adore her so i don't care.
as for i would like to see on the show from whedonverse? well that's a really tough choice as so many amazing actors have been a part of it. morena, summer or nathan would be awesome and i could definitely see morena being a doll or anything really but i'd also love to see michelle trachtenberg. i think she's awesome and would be interesting on the show. of course anyone from whedonverse would be amazing even the guy who played andrew.
