TV Alert: "TV Land Awards" air this SundayAs StuntDouble told you earlier this week, last Sunday’s filming of the TV Land Awards gave some well-deserved props to our favorite Girls of Gold.
After the reminder of some of the reasons we still love Dorothy, Blanche and Rose, you’ll be happy to know that you can watch the award show on TV Land this Sunday, June 15, at 9 p.m. EST. And just in case seeing the Golden Girls isn’t enough motivation for you to watch (and, if that’s the case, what’s wrong with you?), here are seven more reasons to tune in. 1. The host. Could Vanessa Williams be any more beautiful? Just. Wow.
2. Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated! All of those words are in spell check – as if we needed proof that Laverne & Shirley changed the world.
3. Both Beckys. Roseanne received the Innovator Award. I think Roseanne Barr looks marvelous – don’t you love her hair?
And, of course, seeing Sara Gilbert out and about is always a treat.
I honestly had forgotten that Sarah Chalke was a Becky. I hadn’t forgotten that I liked Alicia Goranson’s version better.
4. Classic TV stars who shouldn’t be wearing their characters’ outfits.

Dawn Wells claims that the roaches in her car, for which she was arrested last October, belonged to a friend. But the best part of the explanation: “The story mushroomed, and I lost out on a Girl Scout speaking engagement.” So much for the Rolling Along badge. 7. More SATC?

vanessa williams looks hot!! I wonder whether kathy griffin pulled off some sort of stunt, most of the time she does because she just can't help herself... hm, I wish I could watch it, but someone will definitly post videos on youtube (*hint* to those who know how to do that and will watch *hint*)

I remember being completely appalled when Becky was suddenly transformed. While Sarah Chaulke eventually won me over [albeit not completely], Alicia is the best and only Becky Conner in my eyes!
If you're not trying to make something better, then as far as I can tell, you are just in the way.

I absoultely love Rue, Betty, Bea, and the characters they once played.
And I definitely still have a soft spot for Estelle and the way she brought Sophia to life. It's just so heartbreaking to know that she can't attend events like this because of her health. :(
With all that said, if I make it back home in time tonight, I will most certainly be watching.
