2009 Hot 100 Preview: DICHEN LACHMAN

As if Joss Whedon didn't provide us with enough reasons to love him, his series Dollhouse has introduced us to AfterEllen.com Hot List newcomer Dichen Lachman.

On the Fox series, Lachman plays Sierra, a doll like Eliza Dushu's Echo who acts out the fantasies of rich clients, whether that's breaking and entering, paintball, or what basically amounts to prostitution.

Lachman is Nepalese, but lived in Australia for a good part of her life, which is where she began acting in the series Neighbors. She has since moved to L.A. for Dollhouse and other acting pursuits.

Where do you think Dichen ranked on the Hot 100?

i have no idea about where she ranks (below 50, hopefully) but i've been watching dollhouse since it first aired and sierra is absolutely fascinating. both in character and, uh, amazingly-attractive-ness.

Don't watch Dollhouse but I thought I recognised her! When I watched her on Neigbours I always thought she had a nice look to her but didn't realize it was Nepalese that I was liking..

She's obv pretty, but I don't know if she'll break in to the top 50 above all the usual people!? However, I don't know what Dollhouse is about or how well known their cast are, so of course she may well make top 50 easily !?!!

Coincidentally, I was just talking to my sister on the phone about Dollhouse and she told me that Lachman is Nepalese. That kind of makes her my neighbor.

Unfortunately for me, I missed the polls for this year's Hot 100. (Somebody shoot me, please.) Had I voted, she would've made my list. And Lisa Ray. And Yvonne StraHOTski.

I can't believe I didn't even think about her, Oh well, she's on the list anyway. Definitely my favorite doll on the show (sorry Eliza)

as a huge joss wheadon fan i'm watching Dollhouse and i didn't vote for Eliza but i voted for Dichen. I thought she deserved a vote, but i really didn't think she would make the list so i am very pleasantly suprised. Since she is a newcomer though i don't think she will place very high. But yah for AE readers with similar tastes.

I voted for Dichen! She's gorgeous and a great actress. I've been loving Sierra in Dollhouse. It's such a fantastic show. And to top it off she's Australian! I loved how she got to use her accent in "Stage Fright" and "Needs".

I voted for her (for the sub-list...the Women of Colour one). i didn't think too many people knew of her so i'm really shocked (and happy) to see she made the hot 100 list! :D
