We're getting down to the wire, and a few teams have clearly risen to the top (Silver Stars and Sun), and others are going to have to really fight for it (Indiana, Chicago). that game sucked last night for LA
I so wanted to smack the taste out of their coaches match for not putting in Dydek (sp?). If your team is getting creamed by the other team, why not put in your 7'2 player to start blocking their shots, and especially when Leslie was hurt. I don't care how good you are (CP3) your gonna have to work twic as hard to go up against someone taller and bigger then you. They forced her and the rest of the team to do that, and it wasn't enough. So the coach should have put her in..she holds the record for most block shots for a reason.
But on the other hand maybe this was a good thing for LA if the number one team plays the number four team on the west, b/c then they wouldn't have to play them.
Good job Phoenix and that amazing win last night, great game go DT 27 points hollaaaa.
Maybe the playoffs will be SAN, SEA, LA, PHO for the west

okay i so i heard Sheryl was carried off on a stretcher during the game...what happened? is she okay? i'm so worried right now
was Jordan there? did he witness this?

"Seattle's Sheryl Swoopes was knocked unconscious after she took an elbow to the head with 1:10 left in the game. She was taken from the floor by stretcher as medical staff stabilized her head and body in braces as a precaution.
"She was unconscious on the floor, and then she did come to and recognized the people who were out there,'' Agler said. "She had feeling and she was moving her hands and moving her feet. ... She went to the hospital so were just going to check on her. I hate to say anything but things looked positive before she left.'"
Hopefully she is better and is doing just fine.

It was very scary, she laid there for awhile, did not move. You could hear a pin drop in the Key.....she was taken off on the stretcher, her son and partner looked really really worried, she went to the hospital but everything is OK thank god! she was responsive before leaving to the hospital but they still took her...
it was really bad....Wiggins elbow met her head, right under the basketball and she fell straight to the floor, no bracing herself...
scary but she is ok! and thank god we pulled out the win! :) first place baby...playoff tickets on sale now!!!!

Quick reminder: ABC's broadcasting another WNBA on Sunday (today) at 1 PM (EST). The Connecticut Sun puts their seven game win streak on the line against Becky Hammon and the Silver Stars. San Antonio needs a win to jump back ahead of Seattle out west. Should be a great game.

Silver Stars Set the Sun
No such luck, Michelle. The Silver Stars just had a great all-around game and the Sun (with Whalen back) went through a stretch in the 3rd quarter where they couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. I didn't realize, until I watched the game that San Antonio hadn't lost a game to the East all season. Pretty impressive.
I don't know while I'm still amazed at the ability of commentators to bring up the LA Sparks and Candace Parker at any given moment. She's not even playing and they still go on about her ad nauseum.

the only reason they mention her is b/c the Silver stars recently beat LA....so it was relative especially with LA being in the playoffs and the chance of the two teams meeting. I have a feeling for some years we are going to be hearing all about CP3, in the same way during NBA games they still talk about MJ. Or how in MLS games with no Galaxy they still mention Becks. If another player would actually start playing above the rim during the games in the WNBA they could take the spotlight away from CP3.....not to mention just make the games more exciting by playing above the rim.
How does the Playoffs in the WNBA does the 1 team play the 4 team and 2 play the 3 team..or the 1 team play the 3 or 2 team?

The Phoenix vs Comets game
That game was amazing, DT was on fire. She has a beautiful shot, it's just breathtaking. The way she is not afraid to drive to the hole, and get the foul and make those pretty foul shots. Maybe Phoenix has more then just a snowballs chance in hell for making it to the playoffs. Speaking of... Phoenix vs Detroit coming up on ESPN tuesday at 7 eastern. Phoenix could loose b/c Detroit knows how to stop DT, not to metion their lovely history with each other the two teams. I have a feeling there could be another brawl in Detroit.

it sucks cause this is late and i don't know if you ended up bring one or not, but you are definately allowed camera's in key arena...just can't have the flash on. cause i've taken a camera to both the games i've been to and it's never a problem
