Katee Sackhoff finds a new showIf you're a fan of Katee Sackhoff and Law & Order, you'll appreciate this news doubly: The actress will be starring in a new series by L&O producer Dick Wolf called Lost and Found, which debuts on NBC this year. Of course, this means Sackhoff had to give up her role on Nip/Tuck, but I think she got the better end of the deal.
Replacing Sackhoff on Nip/Tuck will be Rose McGowan, who has played several memorable roles in films like Scream and Grindhouse, and on TV's Charmed. McGowan's will be taking over the role of Dr. Theodora "Teddy" Lowe. The two actresses are really very different so it's hard to imagine one's version of Teddy over the other's. In my opinion, Rose will make the doctor very sexualized, while Katee might have given it more of a subtle spin. But it's Nip/Tuck; is it ever really that subtle?
But back to Sackhoff, who the Hollywood Reporter writes will play Tessa, "an offbeat female LAPD detective who, after butting heads with the higher-ups, is sent as a punishment to the basement to work on John Doe and Jane Doe cases." (See? Good choice, Katee — this role was practically written for you. Throw in a motorcycle and it's your Doppleganger, except for the whole detective thing.)

then again I just read up on Lost and Found and it sounds really.... really stupid a total been there and done that type of show, but it is a cop show and cop shows always make it no matter how bad they are.

It's funny, the other year I was trying to imagine in my head what she'd be like playing a detective/cop. It seems like my prayers have been answered. Heh. :-)

Katee adds something special to whatever she is in. I enjoyed Bionic Woman, although my enthusiasm did ease after she disappeared from it, and I frakking love Battlestar Galactica!! I really hope this takes off for her, Although, it would have been great to see her as an eager young Detective in New York's Special Victim's Squad, taken under the wing of one Detective Olivia Benson... Oh, well.

This scares the hell outta me. Dick Wolf has made some of the most misogynistic television ever to air.
I'm hoping that maybe feedback from lesbian/(non red-state) female viewers has finally sunk in and he'll make up for his mistake of allowing Benson (Mariska dainty flower) to femme herself up to the hilt in SVU. She was a semi-believable cop until the end of season 4 then she became an actress playing a fembot/mother-figure (bleh!)/saviour.
If Katee's subjected to the Wolf! treatment, I'm not interested in tuning in no matter how hot she may be. I won't condone it.
