Anyways. Now about The Notebook. I don't want it to be a musical! Especially not when you say a director from One Tree Hill will have anything to do with it. The Notebook is still the one movie that I will definitely cry during. And then be sad about for a couple hours after. So I say 'no' to the musical idea. They should just stop while they're ahead.

Also. No bigots! Why the hell would anyone want even a little bit of bigotry? That makes no sense to me. Especially someone from the community. I say just do away with all the bigotry.

I never understood the big hoo haa with The Notebook, BUT that doesn't mean I agree with it being turned into a musical. It's not even a musical kind of film! There again things that don't need doing always seem to get done like the remake of hairspray =/

I personally think that people think they can get away with saying things because of who they are because if a straight guy said what he said they would be burnt at a stake but when a gay guy says it its a bit like whoa but you accept it because of course its okay he's gay. You can have your opinion but don't broadcast it if people are going to be a bit miffed about it =/

First time commenter on your vlog... I REALLY REALLY love it... been watching since ep 1.  

I thought I would point out since I take classes on this stuff... that "hetero" scale and the "homo" or "queer" scales aren't opposites of eachother. Maybe you can be 66% hetero and 99% gay... they are looking at how you talk not anything else. It makes sense that if you have lots of straight friends you might adopt some of their "hetero" speach patterns and have that come across in your tweets. I don't use twitter so I can't test it out for myself...

I'm sure whatever measurement they are using is totally bogus... but I thought that we should keep in mind that if it were correct that it shouldn't be a reflection of how gay you are.

As for media that gets butchered for the sake of making money off a popular book/movie/play... I present video games. Video game movies are terrible 100% of the time... not because its impossible but rather because the people who do it are untalented and looking to make a quick buck. That being said it may be the people making this notebook play really love the movie and the book and will try to do it justice... but I too believe its doubtful.

"The Notebook : The Musical" - It's the search for more money, plain and simple.  Broadway and Hollyweird officially ran out of new ideas about 10 years ago and now it's a race to see who can produce the worst remake.

Staying in the closet & bigots - OK, I can actually see why someone involved in arts/theatre might say this.  Conflict and persecution are the inspiration of some of the most interesting stories.  Perhaps he thinks that if no one has to deal with these challenges, life would be boring.  I don't know, personally I'd rather have a life free from shame and bigotry.  At any rate, I think he needn't worry, we've still got a long way to go.

Example of screwing up movies?  I think they butcher most movies if they make one too many sequals.  Don't make fun of me becaue the only examples I can think of are childrens movies!  Land Before Time anybody?  I loved the first one and then they became weird musicals, then basically prehistoric, cartoon operas. OR when they turn Disney movies into TV shows.  That fails.

I absolutely LOVE musicals but there's a very good chance it will be completely awful.  Some of the best moments in The Notebook are quiet moments where it's a look between the two of them or just a few words.  Now it's going to be like "I look into your eeeeeeeeyes and then I realiiiiiiiize" and "Let me read you some words of lo-o-ooooove"

It's funny that you mentioned that someone from One Tree Hill is going to be producing/directing the musical. I looked it up to see which of the girls were going to be doing it. Turns out it's actually the girl (Bethany Joy Galeotti) that I've thought you've reminded me of since I started watching the vlog.

Wow. 80% hetero? Looks like I need to toss my twitter account out of the closet. They also need to re-work their 'word finds' I didn't know politics was a widely 'gay' word to use... haha my words were 'politics, rent, skirt, bitch, and cute'. haha

One tree hill chick turning the Notebook into a musical? As much as I love musicals this sounds like DISASTER. I love the notebook, if they destroy this, I may have to destroy them haha.

Did you know Catch me if You Can is a musical now too? I am slightly intrigued, the movie was alright, but the cast for the musical is amazing. But really, what's with all the movie turned musicals?

I came out at 41% hetero. Just for fun, I also tried if my homo factor would increase if I put in that I was a boy... and it skyrockets to 13% hetero because it picked up words such as gym and drinks. Not quite sure why those pop up for extra gayness points but not extra lesbo points?! I thought the idea behind this analysis was cute and fun, but the idea is kinda overshadowed by the poor execution and lack of accuracy in the results!

I enjoyed this week.  It wasn't slow, just not celeb sensational. The dynamics are cool though.

I got 73% hetero!?  ha ha.  not exactly accurate.  considering my thoughts, feelings and actions suggest the contrary, i think that Stockholm Pride deserves a huge RR!!  I would love to know who created the key words of that twitter 'genius'.

I am also one of those chicks who LOVES a good sappy movie that makes you cry. And just the idea of people Destroying one of the most AMAZING movies ever made makes me want to cry. This is just NO GOOD at all.

But on a different note, I found out that I'm 81% hetero?!?!?!? WTF is that?? According to the thingy I do not use queer words. Nope not at all, just saying words like "Lesbian, gay, homo, & LGBT" totally make me 81%. Or even the context of my tweets. What the holy Heck? I agree the marketing is great, but the actual test, gotta agree FAIL.

Wow I got a really bad score, this is not good, but oh well, I know that I'm gay(there's not question about that).  I got a 77% on the quiz!

I have to agree with you that they shouldn't change The Notebook, they should just leave it as it is. It's a great movie, once it comes out as a musical, then it won't be the same anymore.

 The comments by the Outfest directors were absolutely ridiculous.  I don't agree with forcing people out of the closet, but I also don't think anyone should advocate staying in the closet unless you will be literally thrown out on the street with nothing if you come out (such as having very prejudiced parents while you're still in the house).  Coming out is the single best thing any LGBT person can do for the LGBT rights movement, and I wish people would recognize that more.

Shit Happens...

you know who has killed my favorite movie of all time? ABC Family. i would like to thank them for taking the film that defined me all through high school and balling it up and turning it into a second rate 30 minute show. 10 things i hate about you. everything about that movie was amazing, actors, actresses, break through performances, and can we talk about the music for a second?? that soundtrack i've bought at least 5 time and have given it away or lost it to someone who loved it just as much as i did. so how about that for destroying some art?

your notebook thing totally reminds me of when i heard about the making of 10 things i hate about you into a crappy tv series... ugh. that gave me a really really moment! ruining an amazing, cheesy love story movie into something bad.
