Retro Reviewing: "Trapped"

This week, the Retro Reviewers were a bit understaffed as both Rina and Katie were on vacation. So, Danielle and Denae decided to hold off on Bound until next time, and reviewed Trapped from here! TV instead.

Both ladies got quite a kick out of the cheesy flick starring Alexandra Paul and Michelle Wolff. They welcomed the return of the watching scenes in order to properly make fun of it. Episode highlights include copious re-creation scenes and a conspiracy theory discussion about the main bad guy (evil Bill Gates) and his connection to Baby Bop.

LOVE

I love you guys, fully staffed or not! I must admit that I have never heard of this film before, but enjoyed the copius fun-making! I have a bit of a soft spot for made for tv movies, usually for the same reasons you both mentioned..

Oh, I forgot to say...

I love your re-enactments. Always better than the real thing!

A better made for Here! movie is 'In her line of fire' with Jill Bennett and Mariel Hemingway. Still low budget, but a decent story and good acting all around.

Looking forward to Bound, next time. I've already watched it, ready to comment along with you!

you guys are too cute!

Loved the re-enactment at the end of the blog.  Watching this blog made me miss you guys..Good job on the blog. I have to ask though, where did you find this gem of a movie?

Thanks

Thanks Rina.  We missed you too.  This classic gem was found by the one and only Danielle.

I've never even heard of

I've never even heard of this movie and I don't know that I'll ever watch it (well ok if I happen to come across it I will watch it 'cause I do love me some bad movies that I can laugh at). I did enjoy your review. haha Especially the re-enactments

Although I was all O_O

Although I was all O_O when I saw that Bound wasn't being reviewed I still watched. I was just expecting you guys to review a movie I've actually seen so I can comment. But this movie sounds like a must see. Preferably with a group of people and plenty of popcorn to throw at the screen. Or maybe watch it while playing a drinking game. Take a drink whenever the bad guys' accents change. lol Even without the whole gang, it was still a funny vlog. I'll be looking foward to Bound next week.

I am my very own shade of grey.

Cute

You two were cute with this so-bad-it's-good movie. I too have a long history of love for Mystery Science Theater, so it's always fun to do an at home addition. I know it's not quite a lesbian movie, but Showgirls is another so-bad-it's-good movie that I absolutely love to watch and get outraged at. As we're aware, Gina Gershon looks great naked, so that's enough reason right there to review it, don't you think?

Showgirls

I think you might be on to something there - next time we find ourselves a couple of retro reviewers short, we may have to try that...

Awesome

I can't wait! What you should do next time you find yourselves a few reviewers short is invite me to review it with you guys(gals/women). New York isn't that far away from Boston.

Tripped

I just started tuning into Retro Reviewing. Good stuff. I think I've watched about half the movies you've reviwed so far. I dont think I'd bee too keen on watching Trapped though. It seems pretty lame. Are you guys planning on reviewing Fire? There's a movie that I'm interested in hearing others persepectives on. Great job guys.

P.S - Danielle you're a hottie.

Thanks everyone!

Thanks for the kind words everyone! We knew it was going to be a bit of a low-key week, so we're really glad you all liked our less serious approach. You may see a few other episodes like it in the future when we're all knee-deep in thesis projects (and slightly loopy as a result!)
