ftw, i love this movie! i've seen it idk even know how many times. plus, erin kelley is just fine :)
i liked loving annabelle,
sr
The ending is sad but also very, very silly (still a good movie): they could have just aknowledged their mutual attraction and waited. Oh, wait, that wouldn't have made for a good movie :)) Anyway, this isn't about lesbians being illegal in a catholic school, it's about Annabelle being a minor. Guess what the "sr" I used for a subject comes from? Yes, "statutory rape".
student/teacher relationships
mmm loving annabelle... love the film. and i have this impossible, impossible crush on one of my tutors at uni... she is just so amazing. i wish i could seduce her like annabelle did to simone! haha..
nice vlog by the way, loved the re-enactments! crazy boot beads you got there..
hey I've watched aimee &
hey I've watched aimee & jaguar and I've read the book it was based on-- this is one rare instant where the film was so much better than the book. I can't wait to watch the review. p.s you guys were funny in the re-enactments and this review makes me want to watch a film that I've never been interested in. Because of the sex scene you guys so loved!
Loved ..Loving Annabelle
Hey!
This is a really great 'little' community! Check out the forums. I think there has to be topics for everything in there and it's also really easy to start a new topic to ask for advice (which I've noticed people do, a lot, and a lot of people answer). =)

Just one comment: please ladies...no more classroom use for taping...the echo made it difficult to listen to the conversation, I had to concentrate waaaay to hard to understand what you were talking about...next time how about you use a carpeted living room ;) And maybe sitting just that little closer to the mic .. ;D
Keep up the great work...glad you keep reviewing...I suggest Pourquoi pas moi again :D

Great job this week!
I've seen Loving Annabelle more time than I can count, and I still love it. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I had enormous crushes on my English/Lit teachers in school...
If you haven't seen Madchen in Uniform, I think you can find the 1930s version and the 1958 version on YouTube. That's where I watched them (and got my picture, which I love). Both were very interesting when you consider that Katherine Brooks based Annabelle on those stories. Plus, the actresses who played the teachers were both gorgeous...
I think you should review When Night is Falling. It's another good one.
Loving Annabelle
I like this movie, because of its idyllic setting, beautiful cinematography and the music. It is reminiscent of Lost And Delirious.....both begin with one of the leads approaching a Catholic girls' school she is going to attend and both use beautiful music. I particularly love the scene in which Annabelle sings her song (her guitar is not a show!), staring at Simone. That song, "All Over Me", is so effective there.... A student/teacher relationship is so taboo that it doesn't end happily even in a movie, I guess.
Only negative thing I have with this movie is that it feels 'light'. It may be because it's produced on a measly budget with a limited amount of time, as the director tells us.
Your reenactments were hilarious. Where did that idea of shoe-beads (?) come from?! :D
I've read in the interviews
it was implied
I loved Loving Annabelle
I loved Loving Annabelle the first time I saw it but it wasn't my favorite lesbeau movie. It is now. I've probably watched it over 20 times. I do agree with the ending 'cause I wouldn't accept this story in real life, but come on! It's beautiful! That's why I love (and always watch) the alternate ending. It's like, ok, here's the PC version and then you can choose if you want to watch the PiC ending, which is beautiful.
Wow. A whole comment not mentioning Brooke Smith's firing! Oops. Scratch that.

Hey Everyone!
Loved your review of Loving Annabelle, its one of my favorites. Also Katherine Brooks is an amazing person.
I'm a filmmaker myself and moving back to Boston in a couple of months. Are there any film groups or societys for the LGBT commmunity?? Haven't lived in Boston in a loooooong time, and i am very excited to be moving back, i live in a very red state.

I love this movie. I've seen it so many times. Hate the sad ending though. Katherine Brooks said that if she had the money, she would make a different ending.
LOL at the reenactments!!
Great job again guys! I love these reviews, did miss Rena a little bit though!
The alternate ending is on the DVD, and even though it is a little unrealistic, it is nicer than thinking of Annabelle visiting Simone and her orqnge overalls once a fortnight for the next ten years... Although, Simone in an orange jump suit might be kinda hot actually!!
Can't wait for Aimee and Jaguar, and hopefully more reenactments!
Thanks for watching
Kayla... I love ,
Kayla...
I love , loving Annabelle and the girl on the right is really hot by the wa. I think you should seriously review lost and delirious with Jessica Pare, Piper Perabo and Mischa Barton, its a great movie + hot sex scene
Thanks for the review!
I saw the movie 2 weeks ago, then stuck it on my ipod and have now watched it like 40 times. And then I just skip by all the subplots and just watch the buildup to the sex scene. Oh my God, even after seeing your review and knowing they were going to get caught, I still shrieked the first time that Immaculata popped in the door on them.
Although, I don't think that the nun could have been attracted to Simone, because that was her aunty man. So to imagine the creepy nun crushing on Simone is to imagine that there was an incestuous subplot there :S
Oh, the actress who plays Simone is in her 40's, so while the movie was playing, I kept thinking "Why isn't that teacher telling Annabelle that she should look for kids her own age" because I gather that Simone was in her late 30's. Simone could be Annabelle's mom!
While it was not a great movie, between many cringe-worthy lines and the yucky boyfriend, it was still the BEST MOVIE EVER!!! 4.5/5 solely on the virtue of the courtship and sex scene.
