These "inside sources' that articles quote are almost always wrong.  SERENA/BLAIR NEEDS TO HAPPEN.  Otherwise, once SON ends, I'll have no more couples to watch.  Even though Blair/Serena are already sort of a couple...

I think if they are ever going to get together, it would have to be when the series ends.  You can't have them randomly hook up, because then they couldn't really be friends.  If they had an actual relationship, there wouldn't be any other characters or plotlines on the show (not that I have a problem with that, but I think the writers/producers might not appreciate it). 

Lets face it, if McCain win's this will never happen. ;)

it doesn't really make sense that they would end up together after all their years of friendship. they don't really get jealous of each other's boyfriends or anything. howevs, i think it's plausible that they could be attracted to other girls. i can easily see blair having a crush on some really smart, powerful girl in college. make it happen, cw!!

Why don't they bring in another hot girl who happens to be gay?  She could cause trouble and go after one of them, if they are not wiling to go there until the end.

But Blake and Leighton must be aware by now, that we are very aware of their chemistry.  Hope someone brings it up in a future interview.

Please, the girls are practically canon in the books!  The show just needs to incorporate it.

If they end up in a lesbian relationship, I swear to stop ragging on the show and actually watch it without pulling my hair out...

they kinda have that love/hate/tease/ u can never leave me chemisttry going on between them in comparison to other gay femme moments in other series.......Its like a olivia/mischa, but much more deep and INTENSE

MUST HAVE WALDSEN!! Serena and Blair have such great chemistry it's hard for me to think of them as just BFFs. Granted their relatioship is always falling apart but they always make up even if it takes a little time to do so.

Serena is just as much a Vanilla Stallion with Blair as Blake is with Leighton in real life so they really just need to kiss already. And no not on the hand, that doesn't count Serena! Thanks for failing at subtlety again, I really appreciate it.

...I don't think there would be any kind of girl on girl action any time soon.  As for the lesbian subtext, I think they are doing that just to tease us.  Since in the book Serena and Blaire kiss and it's obviously not going to happen in the show, they are implying it in subtext.  If this kiss actually does happen it'll probably be towards the last season.

Just my thoughts.

I believe Blake and Leighton just have great uncontrollable chemistry.

I'm always rooting for it, noticing it, encouraging it, rewinding it, and blabbing about it because it's so obvious. I LOVE IT, I even appreciate little tidbits they give us for a few seconds..

Which leads me to my next point; they're tidbits, or at least, they have become recently.. which is sad, because those two have great chemistry.

Think about it, we've only seen them interact as "friends" .. with "friend" chemistry, Can you imagine to what degree that chemistry will be when and if they move beyond friendship to something more? .. Wow

I have decided this "source" either knows nothing or knows too much.  And by knowing too much I mean that he/she has seen the upcoming storyboards involving a Blair/Serena kiss and must now work double-time to keep the smooch a surprise.

Right, so moving on.  They could do it at the end of the series, but ehh, why?  I'm sure we'll be knee deep in Blair/Chuck Dan/Serena when the time comes so, nahh.  They could make it serious, but I totally doubt it, not after the OC (sadly and arguably the most comprehensive lesbian teen relationship on network tv)- it will either be considered too risky for the straight demo or confuse viewers about who Blair and Serena should really end up with in those last eps. Nope.

I would bet we are in for the inebriated kiss that makes them feel weird, but that they quickly blow off or maybe the 'I'm so sad right now and you're hugging me so close and wait, are we having a moment as you wipe my tear-stained cheek?' kiss, that is also quickly blown off the next day. 

And about the "insane" comment- oh come now!  Blair told Chuck she was sleeping over with Serena whilst in sexy lingerie lighting candles and he believed it.  We're not that off-base.  And the scarf scene was totally subtexty,... subsexty,... scarfsexty?... too far.

Even if they never do it, we've always got the subsexty.

That scene was hilarious.  There's Blair, half naked surrounded by soft candle light, busy lighting more candles in Serena's bedroom telling Chuck that Serena saw that she was so down that she didn't want her to be alone so she invited her to stay the night with her and Chuck doesn't even bat an eye!  Ha.  She could have practically been naked on the bed and saying she was waiting for Serena and it wouldn't have been any more suggestive than that scene.  Too funny.

And, they better go there!  I love their touchy-feely, eye and hand sex relationship but a real kiss (ie. not one to impress whatever boy happens to be watching) would be great.  It's in the book, put it on the screen!

I really hope they get together. Although the show wouldnt make sense if that happened, the show already doesnt make sense, so its all good!

If all the games Blair gets to play with Chuck Bass end up with her, half naked and GORGEOUS on a bed like in episode 207 I will be pretty pleased. She was so hot I could have drooled (but I didn't because I respect women) :D

Since they've explored pretty much every possible heterosexual constellation on this show by now, a little girl-on-girl action may be the next logical step. Or they will keep wearing us down with more S/D-boredom. I used to be a little in love with Serena in S01 but she kinda bores me now.

But so far, I'm loving the Blair and Chuck thing.

I also have the same touchy-feely-flirty relationship with a straight friend of mine (who knows I'm gay) and it's totally platonic. Maybe that's why I don't see the subtext that much. Or it could be that my love for B&C may be the reason why I'm not into S&B just yet.  

Of course, I'm totally open to S&B hooking up, though I prefer the book kiss as the series' finale. That would make so many people's head spin and for so many different reasons. 

If Blair and Serena got together that would be so great.

Just an opinion, but I really don't care to see another underdeveloped straightgirl-turned-lesbian (however legitimate) storyline on primetime television. No mainstream show's really had the balls to really make an effort at keeping two female characters together. If the writers do bring them together in the last few episodes, it would just be proof of that.

Shows like this approach girl-girl relationships in a way that weakens female characters as opposed to strengthening them. The two are better off as friends, and I'm better off with the rude images of the two of them I have floating around in my mind, =).

 

 

 

It's better no hooking up with B/S because Josh sure will screw them up in the end *coughMalexcough* but I wanna see them kiss(Lips to lips!) even in one of Blair's dream or someone's dream. lol

I bet Bleighton already knows that they have undeniable chemistry since the day they first met, or the day Ausiello interview them. lol they are not really surprised with this. ;) And I'm still hoping to see Bleighton in Brunch w/ Bridget.

i mean im gay but i have a best friend who's straight.  We're really close and almost all of our classmates in college think that there's something going on between us.  The truth is...  there isn't...  We are just really close friends.  Like sister...

But I wouldn't say no to Serena and Blair getting it on.  My bet is that, if they are together, Blair is the more "uber" lesbian in their relationship.
