Calzona
"Los Angeles really does have a disproportionate number of fashionable, gorgeous and slightly narcissistic femmes running amok"
:) Nice one Chief!
Looks like Grey's is serious (?) about Calzona after all. I still dont forgive them for what they did to Hahn. Did AE do an interview with Brooke Smith after the parking lot of disaster episode? Its been a bit over a year now hasn't it?
"Visibility Matters"
Yay!
Go University of Montana!! :)
And that clip of Ellen was AWESOME! Haha
The Cliks>>
And a quick shout- out for the Cliks fans on board: Lucas will be hosting Subterranean this Sunday/Monday morning @ 2AM on MTV 2.
Set your DVR/VCR's!
I think that might be the best game ever!
The Scene
Great articles this time around! Can't wait to see Black Swan, and Wanda's show on fox (which is very weird that its being brodcasted on that network in itself) but I will be there.
Ok bout Calzona...they seriously need an acting coach on how to be in a lesbian relationship, or the writers/directors need to take a hint from real life, because they do not seem to be in a sexual relationship at all! It's almost like Otalia all over again. Last night's episode for example, it was Arizona's bday and they finally professed their love to each other but prior to that Calli through a surprise bday party for her boo, who starts crying....Calli didn't hug her, kiss her, touch her...nothing not once!! No happy bday kiss or anything...and its not just that episode its the majority of them. They hardly seem like a real couple, gay or straight..and it pisses me off!!
THEY NEED TO GET PHYSICAL...er!!!
SdQ Out!
I completely agree.
Venice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I adored Crystal Chappell and Jessica Leccia as 'Otalia' and Venice looks to be even better than that. The romance and passion of Venice looks to be amazing and groundbreaking and I CAN HARDLY WAIT!!!
As for those pics of the Gina and Ani .... <<<THUD>>>
Callie and Arizona...
OK, I'm a little confused! I just watched the episode and I'm wondering where that picture of them hugging actually came from?? I was expecting it at the end... as they are wearing the same clothes etc etc... so what? Did they just decide to cut that part out? Too gay was it?!
A little part of me hopes we might see it next week... but that's the silly more naive part of me.
Apart from that I really loved the episode, and I think that the non physical thing kind of follows with Callie's character, although is still pretty unrealistic. Oh and totally lame! I mean come on... who DOESN'T want to them at it?!?!
That Ellen game
I might get in trouble for this...
I don't think Calzona are being treated differently than the straight couples of the show this season; in fact, in the begining of episode 8 they were put on the same page as meredith and derek!
There just isn't a lot of anything physical happening. at all. for anyone. :-(
U of M
Go Lady Griz,
I was on a cruise with Sheryl a couple years ago in HI and so wish I could go to this game - but it isn't to be!
I'd think you would need a stiff drink after being mired in Jenny's masturbatory opus all day long - Bette
The future of Calzona...
I know I'm going to get bitch slapped for asking this, but am I the only one who sees no future for Calzona?
Keep in mind I don't watch the show on television. But judging from the clips I've seen, they are probably the best couple on the show right now. Even their supposed "dramatic" scenes together are fabulous.I was and still am a huge Calica fan; but I must admit, they were no where near as comfortable with one another as these two are. Of course, they didn't have the the time that Calzona has had. But I will refrain from lashing out irrationally over the past. Having said all this, I still see no future together for the two of them and it makes me angry.
The writers have failed to provide some type of clarity on Cali's sexuality. They neither confirm or deny the fact she may be gay. Nor do they hint at the fact she could be bisexual or just trying it out. Of course this is the second person she's tried it out on. One would think she would have her answer by now. But no, the show refuses to give an explanation. That my friends, leads me to believe that they are not serious about this couple.
Instead, I believe Calzona will remain intact as long as the show is not in jeopardy of dying out. But the minute the ship starts sinking, I predict Cali will miraculously end up with Mark.
You can tell me that I'm wrong or that I'm being too negative. I've just seen it happen so much that the pattern is obviously there. And do not even try to convince me that Grey's is different from any other show. Nothing they've done so far sets them apart from others. They can't even give their "different" couple (not sure if gay applies to them) more than 5 minutes of face time each week.
"Mother Chucker!" - Blair, Gossip Girl
Venice
Haha that Ellen game is
Haha that Ellen game is awesome. LOVEd the trick question at the end and the womans face when she realised what she'd said!
That Black Swan sex scene sounds a bit worrying tbh. She called it 'extreme'. What the hell could that mean?
Mila + Natalie + Extreme
= good times! Whatever it means!
is it too early to begin queueing?!
did anyone see Mila in After Sex? Ahhh :-)
Can't Remember...
Seeing anything about this, but Kate from Australian Idol was voted out last week, I believe. That may be old news, but some people might not know about the rumor going around that Kate split from her partner of a number of years only to hook up with her ex's sister...
Doing her part for lesbian visibility...
Chaiken and reality
"I hope they find smart, successful women who will be portrayed in a complex, interesting and thoughtful manner." - Karman Kregloe.
You're kidding, right? How could a reality show produced by Chaiken possibly be "complex, interesting, and thoughtful"?! She's creating another version of, "Look at the Circus Lesbians" for straights to gawk at and feel superior to. She has no sense of loyalty to the lesbian community. She's just doing whatever she can to make money off of us. Is there any wonder that states are repealling gay marriage statutes when we put out such sleazy depictions of lesbians and gays???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow!!
Lack of physical contact....
Sdqueen, I totally agree with you and the others who noted the total lack of physical contact in circumstances in which it would be totally natural for a significant other to initiate contact. It was just weird; I expected her to kiss her when she told her she was competent, or some such. Odd doesn't even begin to describe how I felt about the scene in which Arizona cried, and Callie just stood there with a stupid look on her face.
It is true that there hasn't been a lot of love scenes for the straight couples, but at least they get to kiss in situations that call for physical interaction between lovers.
I do think that the lesbian couple is being treated less than their straight counterpart.
