Before we dive into answering new questions, I have an update on another question I answered recently: In a previous edition of Ask AfterEllen.com, a reader asked about the upcoming film Les Passages, starring Mary-Louise Parker and Julie Delpy.

In my response to the question, I indicated that the film didn't include lesbian content. Well I've never been more thrilled to be wrong.

Director Donna Vermeer recently sent me this message:

Just wanted to correct some misunderstandings in what you may have thought the storyline was. Mary-Louise Parker plays Catherine, a New York filmmaker, who falls in love with Anna, the actress she casts to play the role of her mother in the autobiographical film she is shooting. But she is a lesbian from the start ― the story opens as she moves to Paris to get over a painful breakup of a long-term relationship (backstory, partner is a woman) ― and it is her 18 year old daughter, Claire, who falls for the guy on the motorcycle, not Catherine.

I wish I had the privilege of breaking good news about lesbian film and TV more often!

Question: When will the new season of Exes & Ohs start?

Answer: And now for the Bad News portion of our column. We've just learned that the premiere of Season Two of Exes & Ohs has been pushed back to 2010.

I asked Exes star Michelle Paradise if she had any soothing words for all of the now heartbroken fans who had hoped to see the show start up again this summer, as originally planned. This is what she said:

Thank you all so much for your patience – and for your continued support of the show. We really appreciate it, and I promise that season 2 will be worth the wait!! Questions will be answered... new questions will be raised... lips will be locked... beds will be rocked... “rules” will be learned... Xena will triumph... and coffee will still be served at everyone’s favorite cafe. We’re all incredibly excited about the new season and can’t wait for you to see it!

While I had her in my grips, I also asked Paradise what she's up to these days. She told me, "I have two new TV projects in the works, just finished a feature film script, and last week I shot a commercial in which I got to wear high heels and a lab coat – then I went home and watched Band of Brothers in my sweats and floppy socks. Life is good."
